Year-round, the Alicea Foundation / Mothers In Black carry out various sensitization and awareness programmes, targeted at various groups; usually drivers, teenagers, law-makers and law-enforcers.

Drive with Care Campaign
One of the two hour long “Drive with care” campaign, where a motorcade drove some of the main streets of the city at or just below the city speed-limit (48 km/h or 30 mph).
Educate our Teens
As one of the largest blocks of drivers on the roads, it is important to educate our teenagers as they take to the roads, not only to educate them about the rules and regulations of Driving Safely, but also learn the consequences of not driving carefully.
Vigil at Parliament
Part of the Mothers In Black arsenal has been the silent vigil during the luncheon hour on Fridays outside of Parliament Building, getting the attention of our law-makers.
Stop the Carnage
A campaign called “Stop the Carnage on our Roads” was undertaken with over five thousand (5,000) signatures delivered to the Honourable President, Hi Excellency Bharrat Jagdeo.
